Ozarka® Helping to Kickoff “Giving Tuesday”

Donation of $5,000, truckload of bottled water

(Tyler, Texas) November 26, 2018 – Ozarka® Natural Spring Water is helping the East Texas Food Bank kick off “Giving Tuesday” during the holiday season by donating $5,000 and a truckload of bottled water.  The donation will take place at the East Texas Food Bank on Tuesday, November 27th at 2pm.  Immediately following the presentation, employees of Ozarka will volunteer at the food bank.

“Supporting our local communities is a priority for our company,” said Jeff Hall, Ozarka factory manager. “Since 2003 we have partnered with the East Texas Food Bank and we are pleased to help again on Giving Tuesday.  On behalf of our 230 employees in Wood County and more than 1,300 statewide, we are grateful for the good work that is being done here to assist families in need – we are proud to support the East Texas Food Bank again.”

The East Texas Food Bank serves over 252,900 clients in 26 counties throughout East Texas, covering nearly 20,000 miles. “Giving Tuesday” is a global day of giving that takes place each year on the Tuesday after Thanksgiving and Ozarka’s donation will support families across the region who are at risk of hunger.

“The holiday season is a particularly important time of need for our families,” said Dennis Cullinane, CEO of the East Texas Food Bank.  “This donation and delivery of bottled water could not have arrived at a better time.  We are so fortunate and thankful for our long-standing partnership with Ozarka and their continued support of the work that we do each day.”

While “Giving Tuesday” is the global call for action, everyone is encouraged to help raise awareness about hunger in their community.  For more information about Giving Tuesday and how you can participate to make a difference in the lives of hungry neighbors in need, visit EastTexasFoodBank.org.
