For East Texans facing hunger, it is not only a lack of food that is a problem, but also a lack of nutritious options, including fresh fruits and vegetables. Through the Fresh Produce Program, the East Texas Food Bank distributes fresh fruits and vegetables through partner agencies and targeted distributions. In FY2024, 16,000,000 pounds of produce was distributed.
