ProduceFor East Texans facing hunger, it is not only a lack of food that is a problem, but also a lack of nutritious options, including fresh fruits and vegetables. Through the Fresh Produce Program, the East Texas Food Bank distributes fresh fruits and vegetables through partner agencies and targeted distributions. In FY2023, over 23,000 households were served by this program.

The East Texas Food Bank distributed over 14 million pounds of produce last year, which is a 30% increase from the prior year.
