Cooking Matters™, a program of Share Our Strengths  No Kid Hungry campaign, is a cooking-based nutrition class. This program provides a long-term solution to hunger and poor nutrition by demonstrating strategies to get the best nutrition possible on a limited budget.

Cooking Matters ClassThe six-week hands-on classes are instructed in the kitchen by chefs and nutritionists who volunteer to teach nutrition, cooking, food-budgeting and shopping techniques.

Highlights of the course includes: a bag of groceries to prepare recipes learned about each week, a grocery store tour, and a potluck dinner during the last class.
