Privacy

The East Texas Food Bank respects the privacy of all our donors (online and offline) and website visitors.  We handle any information you provide us with care.  The only data we gather from you is that which you voluntarily provide. The East Texas Food Bank will only request specific information from you in order to complete a transaction.  We do not require that donors or website visitors provide us with personal information in order to contact us.

If you choose to share personal information with us, we will only provide it to two parties: the organization that designs and distributes our fundraising appeals, and Feeding America, as required by our contract. Neither organization will ever share your information with any outside individual or entity.

Donor information will be added to our donor database and will not be sold or traded to other organizations. We may use your information to contact you in the future.  If you wish to “opt-out” in the future from receiving information from the East Texas Food Bank (via mail or email), or would like to review the personal information collected and request corrections, please contact the site administrator.

All personal and credit card information is taken in a secure environment using SSL (Secure Socket Layer) encryption. SSL is a proven coding system that lets your browser automatically encrypt, or scramble, data before you send it to us. Unfortunately, however, no data transmission over the Internet is 100% secure. While we strive to protect your information, we cannot ensure or warrant the security of such information.

If you have questions or concerns about the protection of your privacy while visiting our website, please contact the site administrator.
