Allen Wholesale Foods helping to fight hunger through sales
Allen Wholesale Foods will be selling steak, chicken, pork and seafood products at 6120 S. Broadway Avenue in Tyler from Sept. 23rd through October 2nd.   10% of the proceeds for the sales will be donated to the East Texas Food Bank.  For more information about the sale, click here.

Grub Burger BarGrub Burger Bar in Tyler will be holding a "profit share" on Tuesday, June 28th.  15% of all profits that day will be benefiting the East Texas Food Bank.  Patrons are encouraged to mention to the cashier they are with the East Texas Food Bank.  Grub Burger Bar is located at 6421 South Broadway in Tyler.
Chick-fil-A app to benefit East Texas Food Bank June 6-11
Chickfila LogoChick-fil-A fans, your meals just got better!  The new Chick-fil-A app is here and restaurants in Tyler, Longview, Lufkin and Nacogdoches are encouraging you to download and try the new experience.  Customers can place their order, pay in advance and build rewards for future visits.
During the week of June 6th through June 11th, participating Chick-fil-A restaurants will donate 100% of proceeds from customers who place an order through the app to the East Texas Food Bank.  Visit Chick-fil-A.com to find out more and download the app today.
Get ready for the 24th Annual "Stamp Out Hunger" Food Drive
Stamp Out HungerThe 24th Annual Letter Carriers' Stamp Out Hunger Food Drive is Saturday, May 14.  It is the nation's largest one-day food drive, providing letter carriers, other postal employees and thousands of volunteers across the nation the opportunity to meld their forces together to conduct the drive in their local communities.  In 2015, the drive collected approximately 71 million pounds of non-perishable food across the nation.  To participate, simply bag your non-perishable items and leave them on or near your mailbox on Saturday morning to be picked up.  For more information, visit the NALC page.
Second "Sip in the City" to benefit organizations including ETFB
Sipinthecity"Sip in the City: Chardonnay Edition" will be held on Saturday, May 7th from 7:00 to 9:00pm at the Martin Walker, PC Law Firm (121 N Spring Ave) in Tyler.  Teams of 1, 2 or 3 people bring 3 matching bottles of Chardonnay.  Attendees will taste wine brought by others, enjoy hors d'oeuvres and live entertainment.  Voting will happen at the end with winners going home with bottles of wine.  Tickets are $45.  For more information and to purchase tickets, visit www.sipinthecity.org.
Third Annual Uncle Lucius "ReULion" to benefit ETFB
Uncle Lucius Family ReunionThe third annual Uncle Lucius Family ReULion will take place on Friday and Saturday, May 6th and 7th at Durango's Canyon in Mt. "East Texas Giving Day" set for May 3rd
East Texas Giving Day LogoThe East Texas Food Bank is joining hundreds of other nonprofits in the East Texas Communities Foundation's "East Texas Giving Day" on Tuesday, May 3rd.  This 24-hour day of giving provides donors from every community in East Texas a chance to raise funds to support the missions of local nonprofits that serve their communities.  Donors can go online to EastTexasGivingDay.org on May 3rd and select which nonprofits to make their donations.  The first $500 that is donated to the East Texas Food Bank on East Texas Giving Day will be matched by Davis Dickerson & Associates at Merrill Lynch.

Annual Tyler Parks & Rec "Ice Bowl" benefits ETFB
Ice Bowl 2016 LogoTyler Parks & Recreation will present the 11th Annual "Ice Bowl" benefiting the East Texas Food Bank.  Players wil "fling a disc" on Saturday, January 16th at the Lindsey Park Disc Golf Course (1255 Spur 362W) in Tyler.  Registration fee is $25 per player 17 and older, $15 per player 16 and younger.  Each registered player will receive a player package.  Registration begins at 9AM with tee time at 10AM.  Download Registration Form   Download Flyer
