Corporate Engagement Advisor – Longview Region

The Corporate Engagement Advisor at East Texas Food Bank cultivates and strengthens relationships with corporate donors, oversees local virtual food drives, coordinates third-party and regionally-specific events, and facilitates corporate volunteer engagement. This role plays a pivotal part in sustaining essential partnerships, primarily in Longview and surrounding areas, to support the mission of alleviating hunger in East Texas.

Position Summary:
  • Collaborate with Development Director to develop and execute the overall strategic direction for the business and community based organizational program; including developing contact strategies, objectives and budgeting to achieve the strategic fundraising goals and annual funding priorities of the food bank.
  • Build and maintain a fundraising portfolio of corporate and community organizations focusing primarily on strengthening relationships, stewarding gifts, and preparing proposals or applications.
  • Collaborate with Development Director to develop and execute strategies for corporate solicitations including event sponsorship packages, advertising, food and virtual food drives, cause-related marketing opportunities, public relations, and co-branding.
  • Serve as primary liaison with corporate donors and community organizations around Longview that conduct third party fundraising events to benefit ETFB, including in-person events and virtual food drives.
  • Assist with ETFB tours and check presentations with corporations.
  • Pursue opportunities to deliver effective general presentations to corporations, community organizations and other groups, to promote engagement with ETFB.
  • Send timely thank you letters to event sponsors and participants, as well as third party fundraising hosts.
  • Attend networking events such as luncheons and Chamber events to deepen engagement with Food Bank, often acting as a key spokesperson for ETFB.
  • Maintain record keeping/files/correspondence for all events and interactions in Salesforce.
  • Identify professional development opportunities for corporate donor portfolio management and relationship building.
  • Become a member of relevant civic and leaderships groups to build connections and engagement.
  • Work with ETFB leadership in managing and developing a local community advisory.
  • Other duties to support the Development Department as assigned by the Development Director or Chief Development Officer.
Qualifications and Requirements:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Communication, Fund Raising or a related field (or equivalent experience).
  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in Fundraising and Event Planning.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal and writing skills.
  • Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion.
  • Highly organized with exceptional attention to detail.
  • Ability to work independently with minimum supervision and meet deadlines.
  • Ability to work cooperatively with other Food Bank staff and volunteers.
  • Must be able to present a professional demeanor under a variety of conditions.
  • Available to work nights and weekends as needed.
